Transportation

Free public transit options! On Friday February 3 and Saturday February 4, all City of Durango buses are FREE all day long! Thank you to the Coalition on Responsible Driving's Ride Responsible Program for making this happen!

Additionally, the City of Durango, Durango Business Improvement District and Snowdown are offering a free special shuttle for the Light Parade. On Friday February 3, you can catch the special shuttle at the Fairgrounds and it will take you to the Transit Center in Downtown. It starts at 3 pm and the last shuttle leaves the Transit Center at 8 pm. It should arrive about every 20 minutes.

Snowdown wants you to make responsible decisions when getting around during Snowdown.

If you drive, remember that the Downtown parking meters are FREE on weekdays after 6 pm, and FREE all day on weekends. You can also park for FREE in any City parking lot after 5 pm weekdays and all day on weekends. The City lots are located on E. 2nd Ave. and at the Transit Center.

There will be a large street closure for the Snowdown Light Parade. Look for signs on parking meters on Friday February 3 as you will be towed if you park in a closed space.

Do NOT leave your car in a metered parking space overnight. You could be ticketed or towed. You can leave a vehicle overnight in any City parking lot but you must remove it the next day by 8 am.
