Which came first? Sign up to find out! Each team will be given an “egg shelter building kit” containing identical items. Three rounds of drops from increasing heights will test your engineering skills. Surviving eggs advance to sudden death in an egg toss showdown. Teams of 4 people. Winners receive $100, $50, and $25 gift cards. Must be 21+.

The opening reception and Act 1 are on Fri, Jan 23, from 5 to 7 PM. Act 2 is on Sat, Jan 24, at 9:30 AM. Act 3 & the big reveal are on Sun, Jan 25, at 9:30 AM. Pre-register online. 5 PM CROKINOLE SINGLES TOURNAMENT
VFW - 1550 Main
Older than Durango itself, and more fun than climbing Animas Mountain, this Canadian board game will test your dexterity and tactics. Simple to learn, challenging to master, and all levels welcome! Show off your flicking finesse as you aim to knock your opponent off the board (not their chair). Bring your own board if you have one. There will be 4 sessions. Performance in the singles tournament will determine the doubles tournament on Saturday. Sign up HERE. Must be 18+.

Did you know that Colorado was the first state to repeal prohibition? Cheers to that, as we’re calling all bartenders! Whether you’re a soiled dove or a soiled dude. Shake, pour, and blend your way to create Colorado’s premier cocktail. The winning concoction will be the official cocktail of SNOWDOWN! A $50 bar tab, $25 bar tab, and a free drink for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Must be 21+.

6:30 PM MATCH GAME: DURANGO EDITION

This is an evening of nostalgia, wacky questions, and total SNOWDOWN debauchery. Contestants pre-register online to see who can match the most from our panel of local comedians. Simply fill in the blanks! Questions are in the style of Match Game, with a Durango-specific twist. Wear your best ‘70s attire, reminiscent of classic game shows, back before the internet or stoplights in Durango. 15 contestants max. Please register by Fri, Jan 16. 1st place wins season tickets to Durango Comedy’s 2026 Season ($400 value), as well as free tickets for 2nd and 3rd place. Must be 21+.

SNOWDOWN Follies are back for the 42nd year of fun, laughter, offbeat entertainment, local commentary, and, of course, Colorado history! This event is brought to you by an outlandish all-volunteer cast and crew, many of whom audition year after year.
