2022 Snowdown Bed Races
The Bed Races are back! We're bringing back Durango's craziest and most fun event in what is sure to be an action-packed spectacle. Compete head-to-head against other teams for the Bed Race Trophy and other prizes. The event takes place on Main Avenue before the Snowdown Light Parade.
This event will raise money for first-generation student scholarships and FLC alumni events.
Event Date and Time: Friday, January 28, 4:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Location: 700 block of Main Avenue (The start/finish line will be in the middle of the block)
How the races work: Teams of 5 (4 people pushing, 1 person on the bed) will race against the bed in the lane next to them in a head-to-head race. Teams race down to the end of the block, the person on the bed will then exchange their onesie with one of the people pushing the bed. Your team will push the bed back to the start/finish line. The first team to cross the finish line wins. Races are quick! The winner of each heat moves on to the next round.
Are there costumes?: Of course, it is Snowdown after all!
Prizes: The top three teams win prizes!
Entry Fee: $50 (for a team of 5)
